During the battle for the 2022 World Cup, international soccer superstar Antoine Griezmann raved about his manager, Didier Deschamps: “I owe him everything….Every move I make, every game I play is like a ‘thank you’ that I am sending him.” Could your employees say the same about you? Leading expert Julien Mirivel cautions, they need to be able to.  According to the American Psychological Association’s just-released 2023 Work in America Survey, many employees can only dream of Griezmann-Deschamps’s idyllic work relationship. Nearly 1 in 5 workers say their workplaces are unbearably toxic, while over half agreed their employers would claim their workplaces are healthy—even when they’re not.

Think these findings are a one-off? A recent Deloitte study confirmed that when it comes to employees’ well-being, leaders are entirely out of touch.

In this episode, Julien Mirivel explains how leaders can create meaningful connections and experiences with their employees and team that create a positive workplace environment, a productive and highly cohesive team that can effect real change.
